Champions complete a Hattrick

This day will be remembered in the history of Welingkar cricket as the day when it completed its 1st hattrick ... and made the biggest IMPACT.

I have been part of two consecutive winning teams and would like to take this opportunity to thank both the teams for making my two years at Welingkars the most memorable years of my life.

Impact '09 was a really hard fought championship. We had some really tough matches but in the end it was the team with better attitude that won.

The star performers:

Man of the Series : Kinjal Patel (KP)

Best Bowler : Yashpal Deshmukh (Shivaji)

Best Fielder : Pushkar Kalyankar

MOM (finals): Yuvraj Parkar

WeSchool start IMPACT'09 with a bang!

WeSchool has started its IMPACT sojourn with a thumping victory over Bedekar.
We scored 306 runs in 30 overs and bundled out the opposition within 120 runs. KP led the charge with 117 runs and Tanveer dazzled with 53 off 22 balls.

Then we have top 4 teams going into the quarter finals.

Remaining 2 teams from each group have to play one match and the winner joins the top 4 teams in the quarter finals.

Knockout matches are on 26th and 27th Feb

Quarter finals are on 2nd and 3rd March

Semi finals are on 4th March

Third position match on 5th March

Finals on 6th March.

Team Welingkar kick starts its '09 season with a bang!

Today we played our 1st serious practice match against IES...thats right last year's runnerup.....and guess wat....we thrashed them.....they batted first and scored 218/7 in 35 overs
In reply we chased down the target for the loss of 3 wickets.
Siwajee picked up 2 and KP took 3 wickets each.
